The Importance of Lymph Drainage for Breastcare

Lymphatic Breast Care (LBC)

The rich lymphatic network of the breast and pelvic areas are highly amenable to manual lymphatic therapy. The breast tissue in particular is well-supplied with lymphatics, but lacks the sources of external compression (such as muscles or strong overlying fascia) which promote natural lymphatic drainage in most other body tissues.

Fluid has a tendency to accumulate in the breast, and a poor fitting or too-tight brassiere may seriously constrict lymphatics, aggravating the fluid stagnation. Lymphatic Breast Care (LBC) is especially designed to work on the breast tissue, in a preventative and therapeutic manner, for both lactating and non-lactating women.
